Hyde Fuel Welcomes Peter Van Etten Aboard

Tom Hyde is pleased to welcome Mr. Peter Van Etten to the Hyde Fuel team, as of July 1, 2016. He brings with him the knowledge and expertise of his lifetime background in the energy and convenience store industry as a manager and operator.

Mr. Van Etten was most recently employed with HeritagEnergy as Manager of two of their fuel oil and propane offices and plants. He grew up in his family’s business, Van Etten Oil Company, where he eventually became the General Manager. He is a graduate of Ithaca College with a BA in Physical Education/Exercise Physiology, minoring in health.

Peter, his wife Tiffany, son Cole and daughter Keely are relocating to the Tri Lakes, coming here from Sullivan County, NY, where they have lived, worked and started their family over the past 40-plus years.

Committing to his love of the community, outdoors and sports, Peter has kept active in his hometown as a board member and coach with AYSO soccer, Holiday Mountain Race Program and Little League baseball. He also holds a Chair on the committee for the Robert Van Etten Jr. Scholarship, the Ed Kennedy Memorial and is a member of the Elks.  “My family and I are very excited about joining and contributing to this community.” he said.
